Peter J. Fuhrman, Jr., 81, of 75 Schubert Lane, Fond du Lac, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born April 23, 1927, in Chicago, IL, the son of Peter J. and Percie A. Bragassa Fuhrman, Sr. On June 30, 1951, he married Barbara A. Rodenkirk in Wilmette, IL. Peter was a member of Holy Family Parish. Growing up in Chicago until his marriage, he spent at short time in Madison, 24 years in Wilmette, IL, six years in Boston, 24 years in Germantown, WI, and had lived in Fond du Lac since 2002. He was a graduate of Loyola University, receiving his Bachelor of Science. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1945 to 1947. Mr. Fuhrman enjoyed bowling, golfing, model airplane building, playing pinochle, and enjoying his grandchildren. Peter was a volunteer at St. Agnes Hospital for the past four years.Surviving is his wife, Barbara, two daughters, Catherine (James) Wolfe of Fond du Lac, and Susan Benoit of Middlebury, VT, two sons, Peter J. (Pamela) Fuhrman III, and James (Ann) Fuhrman both of Bellingham, MA; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Elizabeth, Andrew, and David Fuhrman, Christopher and Michael Fuhrman, and Caryn (Roberto) Drake, Joshua Benoit, and two brothers-in-law, Paul Guenveur of Mt. Calvary, WI, and Robert (Joan) Rodenkirk of Tucson, AZ. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, a grandson, Michael Wolfe, and a sister, Margaret Guenveur preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Peter J. Fuhrman, Jr. will be on Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at Holy Family Church, 217 4th Street Way. A Mass of Christian Burial will on Thursday, June 19th at 6:30 pm at the church. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery on Friday morning. The family requests that memorials be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope.Special thank you to the staff at Agnesian Hospice and the Hospice Home of Hope for the special care extended to Peter and our family.
