Peter Kaiser

Peter Kaiser, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born November 19, 1914, in Oshkosh, the son of Peter and Charlotte Stertz Kaiser. On July 4, 1937, he married Ann Schuppe at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Mr. Kaiser was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the church council for 18 years, a financial and recording secretary, and a member of the Building and Grounds Committee, and parish treasurer. He was formerly employed by the Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. for 14 years as a shipping and receiving clerk. Upon moving back to Fond du Lac, he was employed in the same capacity for 28 years at Giddings and Lewis, retiring in 1982. Mr. Kaiser was a member of the G & L Oldsters Club. Peter and his wife celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2002.Surviving are his wife, Ann, two daughters; Shirley (David) Jones and Joan (Richard) Kleinfeldt, both of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers; Leo (Sally) Kaiser of Fargo, ND, and Immanuel Kaiser of Fond du Lac. His parents, two sisters, Irene Vossekuil and Irma Kaiser, and a brother, Gerhardt Kaiser, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Peter Kaiser will be on Saturday, March 27, 2004, from 10 am to 1:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 1:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Haugly and Vicar Michael Killinger will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
