Raymond Andrew Bauer

Raymond Andrew Bauer, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, to reunite with his beloved wife, Elaine, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2026.

Raymond was born on February 12, 1931, the son of Roman and Leona (Czoschke) Bauer. Raymond served in the United States Air Force as Airman 1st Class from 1954-58. On November 3, 1956, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elaine. Together, they shared nearly 70 years of marriage and built a beautiful family filled with love and cherished memories.

Raymond was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a proud father to Kevin (Linda) Bauer, Erin (Daniel) Gerred, and Ellen (John) Rodenkirch. He was a cherished grandfather to Katrina (Erich) Mayer, Kristina (Josh Reddemann) Bauer, Keenan Gerred, and Shea-Lynn Gerred and her fiancé, Ben Noble. Raymond was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Briar and Callen Mayer and Cecilia and Jack Reddemann.

Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his family and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine; his parents, Roman and Leona (Czoschke) Bauer; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Romona (Courtland) Sperger and Leona (Carl) Schraufnagel.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Home Instead, Cornerstone, and Raymond’s private caregivers for the compassionate care and kindness they provided.

Raymond’s love, devotion, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His greatest legacy will live on through his family and the many memories they shared together.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at the church at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Raymond’s name may be directed to the Agnesian Healthcare Foundation for cancer research.
