Reuben A. Farr

Reuben A. Farr, 96, of 1291 Bechaud Avenue, North Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born April 21, 1914 in LaCrosse, WI son of Vernon and Lillian (Weis) Farr. On November 8, 1933, he married Tena Fennema in Waukegan, IL. Tena preceded him in death on October 25, 2006. Reuben owned and operated his own dairy farm and also worked as a diesel mechanic for Ray Jeffords Trucking of Waupun. He was a member of the Fond du Lac congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Reuben served as an elder for a number of years for the Jehovah's Witnesses in Beaver Dam. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.SURVIVORS: include three children Vernon (Marilyn) Farr, Hobart, IN, Howard (Diane) Farr, Las Vegas, NV, Jean (Dave) Backus, Fond du Lac, eleven grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren, one brother Henry (Gloria) Farr, Nanassas, VA. Reuben is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Jerry, four grandchildren, and one brother, Harry.



VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 2-3PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 570 Marshall Avenue, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held, Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 3:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, with elder David Laufenberg officiating.
