Richard E. "Rick" Schneider

Richard E. “Rick” Schneider, 70, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, at home with family by his side. He was born in Hartford, Wisc. on April 17, 1956, to Richard and Myrna (Mielkie) Schneider. After graduating from Lomira High School, Rick served in the United States Air Force (USAF) from 1974 – 1977.

Rick is survived by his significant other of 26 years, Christine “Chris” Graf, and her children, Jason and Ashley; two sons, Jason Schneider, and Joseph (Shelly) Schneider; daughter, Amber Schneider; two brothers, Steven Schneider, and James (Amy) Schneider; and four sisters, Denise Samp, Janice Retzlaff, Maureen “Peanut” (Dennis) Hanke, and Carol Anderson.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Schneider; Chris’s son, Tony Graf; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rick’s life is being planned for a later date. This obituary will be updated accordingly.
