Robert J. Christie

Robert J. Christe, 89, of Fond du Lac, died on June 29, 2026, at SSM- St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. He was born on November 10, 1936, in Fond du Lac. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army. In 1955, he married Kathryn Coulahan. She preceded him in death in 1997. Then on October 23, 1999, Robert married Rozann Bertram in Fond du lac. He was a past president of the FDL Evening Optimists, Treasurer of the Eagles Pool League, and a member of the Eagles Club. Robert worked for the Wisconsin Highway Department until his retirement. He enjoyed anything that dealt with cars and shooting pool.

He is survived by his wife, Rozann; four children, Toni (Tom) Slaughter, Jeff (Christie) Christie, Susie (Kim) Koshnick, and Gary Christie; five grandchildren, Tiffany Slaughter, Thomas (Linda) Slaughter, Andrew Christie, Aaron Christie, and Austin Christie; one great grandson; one great great granddaughter; Rozann’s children, Candy (Kevin) Koenigs, Stephanie (Rob Catalano) Flitcroft; and Chas (Lynn Dalton) Flitcroft; Rozann’s grandchildren, Taylor (Mike) McKently, Kennedy Koenigs, Reagan Koenigs, Ridley Flitcroft, Elliott Flitcroft, Nicholas Flitcroft, and Katelyn Flitcroft; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, and son, Johnny Christie.

The visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Private family burial will occur in Estabrooks Cemetery.
