Roger E. Forsberg, 73, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born March 7, 1948 in Antigo, WI, the son of Elmer and Margaret (McGuire) Forsberg. On July 30, 1966 he married Nancy Lee Bintz in Menominee, MI. Roger worked for Gidding & Lewis until his retirement in 2015. He currently owned and operated R and D Legacy Products.
Roger had a strong faith in God; and was a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church, where he was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. He enjoyed hunting, cutting and burning wood, traveling, and loved spending time with his family. He was an avid exerciser and enjoyed nature. He could often be seen sitting in his gazebo, drinking coffee, and watching the birds. Roger was a kindhearted, humble man who would be there to help anyone who was in need. Roger was the rock of his family and will be dearly missed by them and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, Laurie (Greg) Schneider of North Fond du Lac, Steve (Paula) Forsberg of Fond du Lac, and David (Lindsey) Forsberg of Belgrade, MT; grandchildren, Danielle (Aaron) Drossart, Katelyn Forsberg, Jackson and Grayson Forsberg, Shelby (William) Wulff, and Cassandra Gelhar; great grandson, Liam Wulff; three sisters, Beverly Austin of Fond du Lac, Sandy (Larry) Miller of Neenah, and Charlotte (Andy) Fraley of North Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Art Austin.
The visitation will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 1081 Prospect Avenue in North Fond du Lac. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday at church. Burial will follow in North Lamartine Cemetery.
