Roseanna V. Palkovich

Roseanna V. Palkovich, 89, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, January 4, 2026 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born May 6, 1936 in New Holstein, the daughter of William and Rose (Koehler) Hanke. On June 29, 1957 she married Raymond C. Palkovich at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2003. Roseanna worked for Fond du Lac Tent and Awning from 1973 until her retirement in 2023. She enjoyed line dancing, live music, Hodag, traveling, camping, going to the cottage, bonfires, swimming, playing Yahtzee, and watching the Packers and Hallmark. She loved working, sewing, and being with her family.

She is survived by her four children, Deanna (Gregg) Schwebke, Darlene (Kurtis) McAuly, Tony (Debbie) Palkovich, and Debbie (Mike) Kriz; eight grandchildren, Jenny (Darrell) Reinhold, Christina Schwebke, Stefanie (Tom) Lempke, Brittany (Dan) Stammer, Kazz McAuly, Bradley Palkovich, Rachel (James Beaber) Kriz, and Jesse (Emily) Palkovich; step granddaughter, Nicole McAuly; great grandchildren, Brendon (Kazaua), Camden (Atlas), Brayden, Mason, Blake, Ella, Renee, Lana, Nora, Dalila, and Oliver; step great grandchildren, Selina, Austin, Colton, Connor, Gabe, and Elijah. Roseanna was so excited to meet her first great great grandchild, Finley due any day. She is further survived by her siblings, Eugene Hanke, Eunice Scheberl, her twin, Rosemary Washnick, Angie (Howie) Scheberl, Lloyd Hanke, and David Hanke; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; granddaughter, Chelsea Roseann McAuly; siblings, Wanda (Eugene) Schuh, Sylvia (Delmar) Petrie, Violet Hanke, Merlin “Buddy” Hanke, and Darlene (Dennis) Bauer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Scheberl, Bernice Hanke, Art Washnick, and Donna Hanke.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Marghaels, N7688 Van Dyne Road, Fond du Lac, Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with a eulogy being said at 2:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
