Russell L. Wingert

It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Russell L. Wingert, beloved husband, father and friend on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Hospice Home of Hope. Russ was born December 6, 1944 and raised in Chicago, Illinois but ultimately called Malone, Wisconsin his true home. On June 22, 1968 he married Lois J. Knudsen and she preceded him in death on March 15, 2026.

Russ enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, visiting with friends and family and he loved playing golf. He was always ready with a kind word or mildly inappropriate joke, often times both. Honest, generous, and kind, Russ was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. We are truly grateful to have had him in our lives.

Russ is survived by his children, Russ (Jenny), Ken (Sara), and Mike; his grandchildren, Jake (Sarah), Tyler, Tommy, and Melanie; as well as many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary and his wife, Lois, whom he lost just three months earlier. He will be sorely missed.

The visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
