Ruth A. WhittyRuth A. Whitty, 67, a resident of Byron died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at St. Agnes Hospital. Ruth was born July 28, 1937 in Eden, a daughter of Frederick and Loretta Wagner Rose. On May 4, 1957 she married David Whitty at Church of Peace-United Church of Christ. Ruth was a member of Church of Peace-United Church of Christ. She loved traveling and spending time with her family, friends, children and grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, David of Byron, two children; Perry (Sheri) Whitty of Fond du Lac, Terri (Peter) Hoffman of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren; Jayme, Jeremy, and Justin Whitty, Amanda and Anna Hoffman, one great-granddaughter, Kaytlyn Carter, and two sisters; Shirley Braatz of Fond du Lac and Gladys (William) Schaub of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather; Arnold Pieper, and many aunts and uncles.



Visitation for Mrs. Ruth Whitty will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at Church of Peace-United Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Church of Peace-United Church of Christ with the Rev. Richard Weikel and Rev. Dr. Martin Koehler officiating. Cremation will follow traditional services with inurnment at Shrine of Rest Mausloeum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Church of Peace or the the Town of Byron Veteran's Memorial. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
