Ruth (Ruthie) A. Weyer, 84, of Fond du Lac, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Beaver Dam on August 19, 1941, to Oliver and Verona (Braatz) Wright. On October 17, 1959, Ruth married Raymond Weyer at St. Peter Church in Beaver Dam. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2007.
Ruth was a CNA for many years and loved helping people. Her greatest passion was sewing, she would spend hours and hours sewing everyday but always took Sundays off. Ruth used her passion to help others, she was a part of a church sewing group that made blankets for the those in need. Ruth also spent her time making wheelchair and walker bags that she donated to the local nursing homes.
Survivors include her three children, Richard (Lori) Weyer of Sheboygan Falls, Linda (Joseph) Keller of LeRoy, and Karen (Roger) Mielke of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren, Debbie (Josh) McCartney , Becky (Paul) Dombrock, Tracey and Robyn Weyer, Bryan (Jaci) Keller and Mike (Fiancée Katie) Keller, Kelly Hoerth; great-grandchildren Riley, Macie, Jayden, Kevin, Emma, Eli, Piper, Max, and Skyler. Two brothers Norman (Charlene) Wright, Glen (Mary) Wright and one sister Jean Ross; She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Jerrold and Lloyd and grandson Shawn Hoerth.
Visitation for Ruth will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 6:00 PM. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, in Fond du Lac.
