Sandy Samens

Sandy Samens, 90, of Ashwaubenon, died on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Woodside Manor of Green Bay with family by her side. She was born on June 3, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Royal and Mary (Ciecholinske) Wagner. On November 8, 1952, she married Thomas Samens in Waupun. Sandy worked for Wilderness Homes as a draft person designing houses. Her proudest accomplishment was being able to design and build the family home. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and feeding people, playing bingo, and helping out with 4-H with her children.

She is survived by three children, Linda Samens, Mike (Suzy) Samens, and Terry (Paul) Simpson; three grandchildren, Doug (Amy) Samens, Patti (Oscar) Ibarra, and Brian (Heidi) Murphy; six great grandchildren, Summer and William Samens, Nadya and Manolo Ibarra, and Clare and Shannon Murphy; great-great grandchild, Harmony Samens; two siblings, Suze Voight and Bonnie Rogers; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; son, Dougie Samens; and three siblings, Lee Wagner, Eve Cashen, and Rosemarie Olsen.

The visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM with entombment to follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
