Thomas M. KemnitzThomas M. Kemnitz, 60, of Eldorado, died unexpectedly at Ripon Medical Center on September 25, 2004. He was born on January 6, 1944, in Eldorado, the son of Chester A. and Irene Hackbarth Kemnitz. He married Carol J. Tabbert on July 25, 1970, in Eldorado at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Tom was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. He had been employed at Mercury Marine for the past 31 years. A veteran of the US Army, he served in Korea. Tom loved cooking and entertaining family and friends. He will be remembered for his awesome spanfarkels and homemade spaghetti sauce. Tom's pride and joy were his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Carol, 1 daughter, Julie (John Jr.) Shafer of Fond du Lac, 2 sons, Philip (Julie) Kemnitz and Adam (Jeannise) Kemnitz, all of Eldorado, 5 granddaughters, Alysa, Emily, Isabella, and Olivia Shafer, and Peyton Kemnitz, 2 grandsons, John Shafer III and Caelyb Kemnitz, 5 brothers, Louis (Lucille) Kemnitz, Dave (Beth) Kemnitz, Chester J. (Sandy) Kemnitz, Steve (Nancy) Kemnitz, and Gary (Faye) Kemnitz, all of Eldorado, 4 sisters, Joanne (Bill) Freiberg of Van Dyne, Mary (Bill) Kaiser of Ripon, Kaye (Reine) Albrecht of Oshkosh, and Alice (Jeff) Wittchow of Rosendale, 2 brothers-in-law, Fred Mattheis of Rosendale, and Jesse (Joyce) Tabbert of Eldorado, 2 sisters-in-law, Sandy (Buzz) Beier of Neshkoro, and Susie (Tom) Langenfeld of Eldorado, and numerous loving nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. His parents and a sister, Sally Mattheis, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Thomas M. Kemnitz will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2004, from 4 to 8 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, from 10 to 11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at 11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Thomas Behnke will officiate and cremation will follow with inurnment of cremated remains in Eldorado Cemetery. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
