WALTER W."WALLY" SCHUPPEWalter W. "Wally" Schuppe, 83 formerly of 780 Mequon Avenue died Tuesday, May 9,2006 at the St. Francis Home where he had been a resident for the past six weeks. Prior to residing at the St. Francis Home he had been a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for three years. Walter was born in Fond du Lac on August 27,1922 the son of Phillip and Molly Dumler Schuppe. On August 17,1942 he married Madelyn McGrath at Bakersfield, California. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran Grade School and Fond du Lac Senior High School. Walter was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Bakersfield, California. He worked for Star Plumbing & Heating in Fond du Lac and later worked for J. F. Ahern Company where he worked for 34 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and did volunteer work. Walter was an avid sportsman-enjoying hockey, golfing, playing cards, and the Green Bay Packers. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Blue Line Hockey Club where he coached, served on board of directors, and played for the Fond du Lac Bears. He was also a member of the Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75.SURVIVORS: wife, Madelyn Schuppe, Fond du Lac, three children, Tom (Karen) Schuppe, Fond du Lac, John (Jane) Schuppe, Fond du Lac, and Mary (Paul) Moeller, Richfield, nine grandchildren, Michelle (Nick) Eckhart, Christopher (Jennifer) Schuppe, Daniel (Deena) Schuppe, Kathyrn Schuppe, Jeffrey (Jessica) Schuppe, Lauren Schuppe, Patrick (Stephanie) Kennedy, Alexander (Trisha) Kennedy, and Maureen Kennedy, ten great-grandchildren, one brother, Carl (Florence) Schuppe, Fond du Lac, and one sister Ann Kaiser, Fond du Lac. His parents, one son, preceded Walter in death Joseph Patrick Schuppe, six brothers, four sisters, and many beloved sister and brother-in-laws.



VISITATION: Saturday, May 13, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. to 12: 00 Noon at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13,2006 at 12:00 Noon at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend David Haugly officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or Blue Line Hockey Club."Special thanks to the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, St. Francis Home and Hospice Hope for their care and concern."Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
