Wayne Arthur Erickson

November 4, 1955 — May 25, 2023

Wayne Arthur Erickson II, 67, of Fond du Lac passed away on May 25th, 2023, after a battle with cancer.

Wayne was born to Babbette "Bobbie" Erickson and Wayne Arthur Erickson Sr. on November 4th, 1955. Wayne considered himself a son to the late Rollie Moericke who was the loving partner of Babbette for over 30 years.

Wayne enjoyed life. He was the life of the party at any/every occasion and brought joy and laughter to all of those around him. Despite spending his final days hospitalized, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his hospitalization, he cracked jokes with his grown children and grandchildren, made silly faces, and spoke of cherished memories with family and friends. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be deeply missed.

Wayne loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He is most famous for telling his campfire stories about "The Goatman." Wayne also loved hosting his yearly event "Ericksons Annual Pig Roast," as well as enjoying summers outside reminiscing and telling stories with family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Mary Erickson, of whom he shared over 46 years of marriage. He was a proud father and is survived by his children Tonya Erickson (Abdel Afraim) of Fond du Lac, Travis Erickson (Breanna Gering) of Greendale, Dale Dupree (Lisa Marie Vinsonolson) of Fond du Lac, Linda Will (Marshal Will) of Fond du lac, Mike Dupree (Jenny Kurtz) of Fond du lac and Armando Immel of Fond du Lac.

Wayne loved and was loved deeply by his surviving grandchildren including Haile Erickson and Ian Nett, Autumn and Alexandra Dupree, Richie Dehnel and Amber Dupree, Jessica and Trevor Solberg, and Brittany Dupree.

Wayne is further survived by his great grandchildren, extended family, and close friends.

Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Babbette Erickson, his father figure Rollie Moericke, his brothers Victor Erickson and Bo Johnson, and his sister Lynda Johnson.
