Willi H. Melchert

Willi H. U. Melchert, 93, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Manor Care Nursing Home. He was born September 2, 1924 in Germany, the son of Julius and Hedwig Wohlfahrt Melchert. On March 28, 1953 he married Elfriede Bein in Germany.
He is survived by his son, Udo Melchert of Fond du Lac and a three siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and three siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in Ledgeview Memorial Park at a later date.
