About Us

History

Harold C. Uecker and Russell A. Witt began a proud tradition of service to the community in 1961 when they built their new funeral home on a vacant lot at 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac, Wis.

On August 19, 1961, Uecker-Witt Funeral Home opened its doors to a 6,200 square foot facility. In 1980, the original building expanded eastward adding a larger foyer, wood-burning fireplace and arrangement room.

Another expansion project was completed in 1988 when square footage increased to about 16,000. The neighboring building, once the Raymer Motor Co. was included in this expansion, allowing for on-site growth. Parkview Cremations was part of this expansion, the 1st crematory in our area. Today, in addition to Parkview serving the families of Uecker-Witt, Parkview also serves as the crematory for other regional funeral homes. Many of these firms have partnered with Parkview since its inception.

At the death of Harold C. Uecker in 1971, Stephen C. Uecker took over the family business after graduating from Mortuary School. In January 2016, Steve's son, Lee C. Uecker, was appointed president of the firm. In December 0f 2016, Lee purchased the business from his father becoming sole owner. In May of 2022, Jason C. Dill became a partner in the funeral home.

Now in our 3rd generation of family ownership, we look forward to 2024 when we begin our 63rd year serving Fond du Lac County.
